FAQ
How many people do you allow?
We recommend no more than 28 people or14 children +1 parent/ child.
Will someone be there to guide the children or is it free-play?
It’s a balance between the two! While there is no adult-led instructions, we are actively engaging with the children. This could look like our staff helping the children navigate a new way to paint by showing them how to use a new tool or quietly observing their process while giving them the time and space to figure things out on their own.
Can we bring balloons, backdrops and a lot of decorations?
You are welcome to bring in any decorations you may wish to set up although we believe our small studio space is beautiful as is!

Do we bring our own food?
Yes! You may bring any food, drinks, cake, pizza, etc. Don't forget the knife, cadles and lighter for the cake!
Do we bring our own aprons?
Yes, please! We recommend brining an oversized, cotton shirt ( grab an old shirt from the aduld's clothset!) that covers the children's arms & legs while still allowing them to move around comfortably. No plastic smocks please as they limit the children's movements and transfer any mediums that remains on the surface.
Is there a bathroom?
Yes, we have a bathroom downstairs in the basement.
Can parents stay?
Absolutely! As long as we keep the head count at 28 max.
Can we arrive early to set up?
You may arrive 15 minutes prior to your booking time to layout your food table and any loot bags you may have. We limit the time to 15 minutes so that
1. our facilitators can focus on cleaning & resetting between any studio programs and your party
2. your child will not be already overstimulated before the party ends

You will have the full hour to set up anything while your child explores at the studio as well!
Do you have a lot of space for my elaborate loot bags?
No, we don't. Being a small but mighty studio, it is our intention to maximize our space for the children's movement as they explore rather than leaving space out for temporary storage. We suggest preparing oversized plain t-shirts for the children as a loot bag option so they can use it as a smock and bring home the painty memory!​
Is everyone going to take home their art?
Not necessary. It is common for young children to value more about the experience than to complete an art project to take home (ie. they may enjoy playing with paint rather than creating a painting). It is our mission to honour children's creative process and we do not force them to complete anything to take home.
