Mixed- Age Collaborative Learning
Our small group, calm and relaxed, laboratory-styled camp is designed to provide families and young children the time and space to create and learn through play. Our Camp focuses on:
1. Giving children the freedom to express their ideas within limits
2. Providing an empowering space for socializing and collaboration with peers
3. Lots of room to push boundaries, make errors and form new meanings.
Ages: 3.5 - 4 years - half day| 4- 7 years- full day

Time: Before care: 8:15- 9:00 am; After care: 3:00 pm- 5:30 pm ( these can be added at checkout)
Half day 9:00 am- 12:00 pm; Full day: 9:00 am- 3:00 pm

Camp themes: Each week, we will slightly reorganize our environment to encourage focus on a new material or medium. Children will still have access to all areas of the studio (paint wall, mark-making area, engineering, light & shadow area, sensory table, clay & dress-up.)
Daily Rhthym: AM: Creating at the studio. Children will have snacks when needed PM: Outdoor excursions at Greenwood Park splash pad, Moncur Park, the ravine at Cairns Avenue Parkette, Woodbine Park, etc. Whenever possible, lunchtime will be spent outside, picnic style.
Camp activities include but are not limited to art & sensory exploration, Loose Parts investigation, outdoor adventures, risky play, gardening/ food preparation, and field-trip (pre-communicated with parents).

Child-centered Curriculum
Your Child is the curriculum, what we learn is based on your child's wonder, imagination and questions. Are they drawn to bugs outside? Let's study them. Have an idea to raise money for charity? Let's make it happen. Love messy sensory play?
We'll spend the day attending to our sensory needs.
Calm and Relaxed Environment
Hurry, hurry. Go! go! go! is something you will never hear our facilitators say to your child. At Enjoy the Process Art Camp, children are encouraged to take their time. Feel like going barefoot? Remove your shoes. Want to work on the floor instead of sitting at the table? Go grab a work mat. After all, it's summer holiday and we're here to enjoy every moment, right?
Child-led Work Flow
At our Camp, children have the freedom to choose what they want to do. While John and Emma build a fort together, Susie may enjoy mixing playdough by herself. They may switch spots, collaborate or start something completely new. Feel hungry? They learn to put aside their creation and take care of their personal needs first. Everything we do is with thoughts and intention!
Small, Intimate Group
Our small-sized camp allows us to give children the time and space to observe, ponder, and connect to their inner voice. By fostering an intimate collaboration environment, each child's voice is heard and they are treated as experts. This helps them develop confidence and a deep connection to their creative selves.
Nature Connection
Connecting with nature is a BIG part of what we do here! This is the place where we get to explore endless possibilities
(and so much learning!). What you're seeing here is a young child drying her polyester silk fabrics after spraying them with soap bubbles and ringing in the bucket. Lots of sequencing and independent play happening at camp!
POLICIES & FINE PRINT
* Due to hiring and materials there are no refunds for missed / no-show camps. We do offer a one-time credit for one future class only with a written email notice 24 hours before your scheduled camp.

* Each camp registration includes a $22 non-refundable deposit. All cancellations must be made no less than one month before the scheduled start date to receive a refund minus the deposit. Cancellations made within 30 days of the studio class start date are NONREFUNDABLE.
